BIOGRAPHY

K.Y hails from Leicester, he grew up listening to hip hop, garage and grime. Biggie and Eminem mainly influencing his music from the US while UK acts like Wiley & Kano were also major inspirations. K.Y began writing music at the age of 12.

Making his music first priority in 2008 led him to become more focused, dedicated and creative with his music in the last couple of years, K.Y has made a name for himself around his city with numerous Number 1 requested singles on local station 'Takeover Radio'. He has uploaded a number of tracks to BBC introducing which has led on to local BBC stations around The Midlands supporting his music. Jan 2012 K.Y was selected to attend BBC introducing masterclass at Abbey Road Studios and Maida Vale Studios which helped him gain new contacts and learn new things about the industry and what he wants. His fan base is forever growing, thanks to playing large festivals such as, Glastonbury, Croissant Neuf summer party and Waveform. K.Y has also played at a number of Leicester's main events, and continues to play out as much as possible.
K.Y’s been in the studio working on his Album, which is set for release when the time is right. K.Y's new material has recently been supported by BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra achieving national airtime thanks to 'Charlie Sloth' K.Y’s plan for the next year is to release more tracks, videos and gig all over,  so watch this space for tour info and new music and any other exciting news.
